Last night a big typhoon came over Okinawa. We were prepared for it and had typhoon proofed the church. What we didn’t know was that the wind would be so strong that it would rip the sign off the front of the building!! I remember putting that thing up 3 years back, it weighed a tonn!! We had 4 guys pulling it up with ropes to the correct place on the front of the building, and others underneath steadying it and drilling it in with cement screws. Looking at the sign now, the wind turned it into tin foil. It’s pretty amazing! This morning the power was out at the church so e had service in the cafe, using the natural light. We made coffee and tea by boiling the water on the gas stove and Zach led worship acousticly. I heard the typhoon is heading up north through Osaka, and to Tokyo now. Please pray for the Lord’s protection over the people there!
